It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Godfrey H. Karkada, a respected member of the community. Mr. Karkada, aged 82, was born on April 6, 1941, and on June 29, 2023, he peacefully went to be with the Lord. He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Jenny Karkada and the loving father of Alison and Delisha. Mr. Karkada was an active member of CSI Ebenezer Church Malpe, where he found solace in his faith and actively participated in the church’s activities. He was a dedicated member who found joy in serving the congregation and nurturing his relationship with God. His presence and contributions will be greatly missed within the church community. During his lifetime, Mr. Karkada touched the lives of many with his kindness, wisdom, and compassionate nature. He was known for his warm smile and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His generosity and selflessness were truly inspiring, and he will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. The mortal remains of Mr. Godfrey H. Karkada will be kept at his residence in Kelarkalbettu, Vishnu Murthy Nagar, where family, friends, and well-wishers can pay their final respects. The funeral cortege will depart from the residence at 3:00 pm on June 29, 2023, and proceed to CSI Ebenezer Church Malpe. A final service will be held at the church, after which the procession will continue to the Malpe Cemetery at 4:00 pm, where the last rites will be performed. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Sharmila Amanna, the beloved wife of Mr. Naveen Amanna. Mrs. Amanna, aged 50, was born on September 19, 1972, and she peacefully departed from this world on Saturday, June 24, 2023, to be with the Lord. Mrs. Sharmila Amanna was an esteemed member of U.B.M. Christha Shanthi Church Marol, where she actively participated in various church activities. She dedicated her time and energy as a Sunday school teacher, sharing her knowledge and faith with the younger members of the congregation. Her commitment to her role as a teacher left a lasting impact on the lives of those she taught. Moreover, Mrs. Amanna was a vibrant member of the Church Women’s Fellowship, where she wholeheartedly contributed to the growth and well-being of the community. Her service and simplicity were exemplary, and she will always be remembered for her selflessness and dedication to the church. In this time of mourning, we extend our deepest condolences to Mr. Naveen Amanna, her husband, and to her entire family.
