PSALM 48:14 With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we gather to honor and remember the life of Mr. Prabhananda Nicholas Mathias, who went to be with the Lord on the 21st of July, 2024. Beloved husband of Mrs. Shantha Mathias, father to Praneetha and Sunil Vuba, Prashal and Joylin Mathias, and grandfather to Pranil, Pranish, Joshal, Prajoth, Oshin, and Prajeeth, Mr. Mathias's life was a testament to faith, dedication, and love. Born on February 17, 1944, Mr. Mathias lived a life full of purpose and service. His journey was marked by an unwavering commitment to his faith, his family, and his community. As a founding member of the Protestant Kannada Congregation (PKC) in Muscat, he played an instrumental role in the spiritual growth and development of our church community. Mr. Mathias’s leadership and devotion were evident from the very beginning. With a handful of members, he poured his heart and soul into the congregation, encouraging countless youths and inspiring many to serve the Lord through sermons, praise, worship, and various church activities. His passion for the Lord and his commitment to spreading His word were unparalleled, making a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. For fifty years, Mr. Mathias resided in Oman, where he became a pillar of strength and faith within the community. His dedication to the church was unwavering, and his contributions to the spiritual life of the congregation were immeasurable. He was not just a leader but also a mentor, friend, and guide to many. His ability to connect with people, offer wise counsel, and lead by example endeared him to all who knew him. As a family man, Mr. Mathias's love and dedication were equally profound. He was a devoted husband to Mrs. Shantha Mathias, providing her with unwavering support and love throughout their life together. His children, Praneetha and Sunil, Prashal and Joylin, were blessed to have a father who instilled in them strong values, faith, and a sense of purpose. His grandchildren, Pranil, Pranish, Joshal, Prajoth, Oshin, and Prajeeth, will always remember their grandfather's kindness, wisdom, and the love he showered upon them. As we gather to bid farewell, we do so with the hope and assurance that Mr. Mathias is now in the presence of the Lord, enjoying eternal peace.
